"Youll be doin all right, with your christmas of white,But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas......" This may not be the Christmas song of Tagum City but it is the exact song for their Giant Christmas tree.

The City of Tagum in the province of Davao del Norte is also known as Palm City of the Philippines and home to the various festivals celebrated every year. In fact, this is one of their traditions. The yearly Gigantic Christmas Tree lighting.

The 174.5-feet Christmas tree was first lighted last Nov. 25, 2017. There are thousands of people visited and witnessed the amazing 10-layer Christmas tree with 5,000 LED lights. The Christmas tree was decorated with musical instruments, fruits, animals and other things which symbolizes the city's fiestas and tourist spots.

The Giant Holiday Tree which is situated at the City’s Freedom Park has attracted thousands of visitors and tourists to come to the City to feel the Christmas spirit. It was a great experience to witness this Christmas tradition for the very first time. By the yell of the people, the sound of the music and the lights covering the whole Freedom Park, I can tell that its already Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas Tagum City! Thank you for this wonderful happening.
